We just got back from AISTech in Pittsburgh! It was our first time in the “Steel City” and we were thoroughly impressed by the transformation that has taken place there. We were amazed with the renovations of older buildings, while still maintaining the original architecture and character of this historic city.
On the flip side there were several modern structures such as PNC Park (home to the Pirates), and the David L. Lawrence center where AISTech was held which were just as impressive.
Then when you throw in the spectacular views of the rivers and bridges, the homes on the hillsides, the countless arts & entertainment options, and finally a Pittsburgh sandwich from Primanti Bros., we’re definitely looking forward to our next visit!
Regarding AISTEch specifically, it was great to connect with so many different manufacturers and machine shops from not only the Hamilton, Ontario area, but also throughout North America and overseas! Regardless of location though, it was common to hear that “business was busy, but could be busier.” It was clearly evident however that everyone was in good spirits and optimistic about the current & future state of manufacturing.
Again, Novacro is looking forward to the next time this event will be hosted in this great city!
